EXTREMELY MOTIVATIONAL...

X was a motivational poster issued by the British government in 1939 several months before the Second World War. It was intended to raise the morale of the British public in the aftermath of the widely predicted mass air attacks on major cities. It had only little distribution, then. Rediscovered in 2000, it has been re-issued by a number of private companies and has been used as the decorative theme for a range of products. This poster was the third issued by the UK government, the first two being "Freedom is in peril. Defend it with all your might" and "Your Courage, Your Cheerfulness, Your Resolution will bring us victory". The posters were intended to be actually a message from the King. Hence,  an icon of a Tudor crown was chosen to head the poster, rather than a photograph.
